Lockdown Living: Best Shows to Binge Watch During Quarantine

Worldwide lockdown gave all of us enough time to do what we always fantasized about- Netflix and Chill. And not just Netflix, everyone now has the time to Amazon, Apple TV, Hulu etc. and chill. That’s one good thing that came out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But this variety in choices can put you in a tough spot. You’ll be stuck thinking where to begin? And most importantly, you do not want to finish a season thinking you could’ve watched something better. If you’re stuck in the same dilemma, I’ve got a list of the best shows that are worth binging on during quarantine.

Money Heist

I had seen enough memes about Money Heist that I had no clue about. And so I decided to end the no-clue-phase once and for all. Made the best decision in my life.

This Spanish show also called La Casa de Papel became a global hit on Netflix since its debut. The storyline is based on a robbery planned by a mastermind addressed as the ‘Professor’. You’ll see through the season how the greatest robbery in the history of Spain takes place. There’s action, humor, romance and a lot of adrenaline. The way each strategy unfolds keeps you at the edge of the seat and begging for more. So before the third season is up and running, make sure you are not left behind the craze.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Are you one of those people who have no idea about the FRIENDS references that everyone around you uses. In that case, you must take advantage of the quarantine and go through the 10 seasons. Sounds like a lot but once you start the binge, you’ll never want the episodes to end. It is that good. It hasn’t won the Emmys and Golden Globes for nothing. It’s based on the life of six friends who go through the troubles and adventures together.

FRIENDS is worth leaving the gaming console for once. If you are worried about your rank, just utilize the cheap valorant boosting services. They’ll do all the grinding for you so that you can finally understand what ‘PIVOT !’ means.

Dark

Are you into time travel dramas? If yes, then Dark is something you should watch. And also because it makes you think harder to make sense of everything.

The series takes you into a journey of the past, present and future. Each time zone separated by 33 years. The movement through time shows how four families are connected with one another beyond their existing time zone. And the interesting interconnection is because of the meddling done by ‘Adam’, ‘Noah’ and the ‘White Devil’.

This German science fiction thriller builds up with every episode. It’s one of those web series that does not give away much from the first episode. It is only in the end that you will be able to come full circle and understand the significance of the series of events. And I speak from experience, it is truly satisfying to finally connect the dots.

Modern Family

If you are a TV junkie, you may have come across the one of the many episodes of Modern Family. You cannot have enough of this ABC show. It is full of humor that makes up your day every time.

The show runs around a family that is every bit crazy and far from the typical normal family. It is the eccentric nature of the family that hooks you onto the show till the last episode. Whether it is the Latino accent of Gloria or the silly remarks of Phil Dunphy, you’ll fall in love with every character. The best part about the show is that even though the family is unique and unconventional, you will be able to relate to something or someone throughout its 10 seasons.

Riverdale

Do you belong to the era of Archie comics? Even if you don’t, Riverdale is an intriguing teen drama that you must not miss out on. The story is based on the life of four characters Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead. They live in a small town called Riverdale and are busy balancing a teen life while solving mysteries.

Its season 4 finale will soon be out on Netflix. Before that happens, catch up to the enigma of Riverdale during quarantine.

Bojack Horseman

I couldn’t leave out one of the biggest animated series on Netflix from the list. Bojack Horseman has been around since 2014 and captured the interest of millions. The show is about a humanoid horse who is trying to get back into Hollywood and out of the self hate phase.

You’ll get into a fit of laughter while you see Bojack Horseman trying to fit into the superficial world of Instagram and Twitter and get on with the modern lifestyle. Each episode leaves behind a lot of easter eggs for the viewers to find that’ll make sense in the later episodes. So do not miss out watching Bojack Horseman during quarantine.

Now that you have a list of shows ready, go grab yourself a bowl of popcorn and start binging!

Betty is a part time arts student and a full time Netfix Junkie. She travels along the east coast to set up art installations for her audience. She loves to play with colors and incorporates this theory in everything she does. Betty is often on the lookout for new TV series, movies and food trends in her free time.
